Garden to Table is a nationwide initiative where students grow, harvest, prepare and share food.
All our Year 5 and Year 6 students are involved in this project each year. Each class gets one session a week for two terms of the year.
During these sessions students spend time in the garden and the kitchen. In the garden they are growing, composting, weeding and harvesting food. In the kitchen they are preparing food and cooking. At the end of each session students all sit down together to enjoy the food they have made! Our recent menu has included beetroot brownies, salad, celery sticks and dips.
